Teenager Robbed of Scooter at Gunpoint in Chandigarh; Multiple Theft Incidents Reported

Incident Overview
A 19-year-old resident of Maloya, Lovekush, was robbed of his scooter at gunpoint on Tuesday evening around 9:15 PM. The incident occurred near the cremation ground while he was returning home from his hardware shop.

Details of the Robbery
Lovekush reported that two unidentified young men stopped him while he was riding his scooter. One of them pretended to ask for directions, while the other forcibly climbed onto the scooter, brandishing a pistol and threatening him. They stole his mobile phone, which contained his SIM card, before fleeing the scene with his scooter.

Previous Incidents
Earlier that evening, a 75-year-old woman, Nirmal Kaushal, was also a victim of theft. While taking a walk outside her home in Sector 41-D at approximately 7:40 PM, she was approached from behind by a thief who snatched her gold chain before escaping on a motorcycle.

Additionally, in Mohali, another snatching incident occurred where two men on a motorcycle stole a mobile phone from Chandani, a resident of Balongi, as she was returning home from work near Cheema Boilers.

Police Action
Chandigarh and Mohali police have registered separate cases of snatching under relevant sections of the law to investigate these incidents.
