The Delhi Police have solved a 15-year-old murder case. A man named Narottam Prasad has been arrested for killing his wife in 2010. He tried to hide the crime by writing a fake suicide note. Police have brought him back to Delhi for further action.

Crime From 2010

On May 31, 2010, police found the decomposed body of a 25-year-old woman at a home in Jahangirpuri, Delhi. Neighbours had reported a bad smell from the house. At the scene, police also found a suicide note.

After the first investigation, police suspected her husband, Prasad. He had already fled the city. The police later declared him a wanted criminal and announced a reward of ₹10,000 for information.

Tracked Down After 15 Years

In 2025, the police received a tip-off. A team went to Chhota Udaipur in Vadodara, Gujarat. Officers used technical surveillance and local support to find Prasad. He was working as a manager in a cotton factory and living quietly to avoid arrest.

Confession To Police

During questioning, Prasad admitted the crime. He said he often fought with his wife after marriage. In anger, he killed her and then wrote a false suicide note to mislead police.

Case Reopened And Closed

Prasad has now been taken into custody. Police are completing legal steps. This arrest shows the Delhi Police’s commitment to finishing long-pending cases and ensuring justice, even after many years.
