Chandigarh’s Yuvraj Sandhu claimed a thrilling victory over Udayan Mane in a dramatic playoff at the PGTI Players Championship 2025 held at Clover Greens Golf Course and Resort, Hosur, Tamil Nadu. This marks Yuvraj’s back-to-back win, boosting his lead in the PGTI Order of Merit.
Marathon Playoff Decides Champion
After finishing the 72-hole regulation rounds tied at 28-under 256, Yuvraj and Udayan went into a five-hole playoff. On the decisive fifth hole, Yuvraj’s perfect tee shot set up a four-foot birdie putt, which he sank to secure a memorable victory.
Outstanding Performance by Yuvraj Sandhu
The 28-year-old Chandigarh golfer posted rounds of 63-67-61-65, earning his 13th professional win. His final round six-under 65 and consistent ball-striking on Par-4 and Par-5 holes showcased his remarkable skill.

Despite three bogeys on the back nine, Yuvraj stayed composed to force the playoff.

Olympian Udayan Mane, a 12-time PGTI winner and former Order of Merit champion, fired a second consecutive nine-under 62 in the final round to force the playoff. His runner-up finish earned him ₹10 lakh and moved him to fourth in the money list.

Reflecting on his victory, Yuvraj said,
“I want to thank my mental coach, physical trainer, coach Gurbaaz Mann, and family. Their support made me believe I could achieve this.”
He added that during the playoff, he focused on visualizing each shot, particularly the 104-yard tee shot on the decisive hole, which helped him sink the winning birdie putt.
