Punjab Police have successfully dismantled an organized criminal module, arresting three individuals involved in the illegal operation. The accused were reportedly working under the direction of Manjeet Mahal, a notorious criminal currently incarcerated at Tihar Jail in Delhi.
The operation, led by the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) in collaboration with SAS Nagar Police, resulted in the recovery of two pistols and 18 cartridges from the suspects’ possession.
According to Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav, the arrested individuals have significant criminal records, with multiple cases filed against them in Haryana and Delhi. Initial interrogations revealed that the group was plotting serious crimes in Punjab under the instructions of their handler, Manjeet Mahal.
This significant breakthrough is a step toward curbing organized crime in the state and highlights the ongoing efforts by Punjab Police to dismantle criminal networks.
